The Beginning

Maximus  came to us in a difficult time . He was the runt of the litter .. a tiny thing ! None of us had much idea on how to on anything about a dog .. but we were about to be taught and the lesson repeated till we got it right. We googled all tips , got advice from all and sundry. We got advice on how not to treat him as a human , how to make him understand who is the head of the family (that was something we ourselves were not very sure ) , and how to make him obey. I was looking forward to get someone obey me.. finally!   we followed  all these tips and some more we made up as we went along . After all parenting was not new to me . I managed two teenagers most of my adult life . The first became a teenager at four with rules of her own. I mastered all the rules and then the second had a completely different definition of what a teenager should be. so it was a lesson I had learnt twice. how difficult could it be. And then there was a third set of rules !!!

Looking back now almost four years to the day .. the whole dog training process was very successful. We now jump at his command .. Food , walk , bathroom break or just a good belly rub. . We all know what to do and when ! Its amazing how all that advice worked out so good.. for Max .
